Responsibilities
This is not an investing role or a pathway to an investing role. However, it is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the firm’s data management processes, including systematizing all aspects of portfolio and fund management. This encompasses deal execution, portfolio data collection, investor reporting, and related analytics.
This role will play a critical role in the following:
- Portfolio Data Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of managing portfolio data, from collecting portfolio financials and KPIs to accurate and timely data input.
- Data Organization: Implement and maintain best practices for storing portfolio company and fund-level data. Efficiently manage updates, maintenance, and reporting across workflows and firm functions.
- Cash Flow Management: Support the quarterly valuation process and manage investment cash flows.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Prepare ad-hoc financial models and analyses of fund and portfolio performance for internal and external use cases.
- Investor Reporting: Assist in preparing quarterly/annual and ad-hoc reports for limited partners and prospective investors.
- Fundraising Support: Participate in fundraising activities, including drafting and reviewing internal/external presentations and documents, as well as providing transactional and operational support.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance internal systems and processes by building tools and implementing automation wherever possible.

- Employment Background: 1 or more years of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within a rapidly scaling company or firm.
- Based in the Bay Area: Although not required, living in the Bay Area and being able to work out of our office in San Francisco is a big plus.
