Q&A with Kori
What’s the common thread that runs through your career?
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Oftentimes the most difficult projects are the most rewarding. I appreciate being pushed outside of my comfort zone and taking on new challenges. It’s amazing to reflect on the growth that was achieved while working through what was initially a daunting goal.
What’s one of your superpowers?
One of the most valuable pieces of advice I received early in my career was to never let them see you sweat. This has always reminded me of a duck – on the surface they are calm, cool and collected, yet underneath you would never know that their legs are kicking like crazy. We work in a fast-paced industry, and having the ability to remain calm, cool and collected allows me to foster a positive, fun and productive work environment.
A book you commonly gift to people?
Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior by Leonard Mlodinow
In your spare time?
I love to be at the beach, travel, and skydive.
