Q&A with Sam
What’s the common thread that runs through your career?
I have always wanted to help people actualize their dreams. For me, a lot of the excitement in venture capital is taking bets on people at the earliest stage of their career and putting my energy behind them to help them build momentum into the next stages. I love humanity and the people that make it up and want to help scale how we support people taking bets on themselves.
What’s one of your superpowers?
I view my superpower as the intersection of two skills: a passion for evaluating and helping people mixed with a knowledge of how to build systems to do that at scale.
A book you commonly gift to people?
I love the graphic novel Daytripper, which is a quick and impactful read.
In your spare time?
I love the outdoors, which includes ski mountaineering, hiking, climbing, running, or gardening. I also enjoy going to concerts, traveling to places that are easier to go to while young, and spending time with my wife and our Samoyed named Harper.
